Lloyd
Lloyd Polite Jr., né le 3 janvier 1986 à La Nouvelle-Orléans en Louisiane, et plus connu sous le nom de Lloyd, est un chanteur de R'n'b
Lloyd est né à La Nouvelle-Orléans en Louisiane. Son père est mort lorsqu'il avait 2 ans. Après cet évènement tragique, Lloyd, sa mère, et ses sœurs sont partis vers d'Atlanta en Géorgie, où il est allé au lycée de Stephenson. Lloyd a été découvert par Joyce Irby et ils formèrent ensemble le groupe N-Toon. Le groupe a signé à DreamWorks Records, et ils ont sorti deux singles appelés Ready et Shoulda Been My Girl. Leur premier album, Toon Time n'a pas eu tellement de succès.
Les deux chanteurs décidèrent de se séparer pour essayer de percer dans une carrière solo. Lloyd passa un nouveau contrat qui le lia avec la maison de disque The Inc./Def Jam Records avec Irv Gotti à la baguette. Southside fut le premier album solo du chanteur dont le single du même nom en duo avec Ashanti fit un énorme carton et le second single fut Hey Young Girl. Il a fait une prestation sur la chanson Caught up de Ja rule. Son second album Street love a eu deux fois plus de succès que le précédent puisque qu'il fut certifié « disque d'or » contrairement à l'autre, les singles qui en sortent sont You en duo avec Lil Wayne, Get It Shawty et Player's Prayer.Début 2010 il sort un signle ,en duo avec Young Money qui s'intitulera "Bedrock" .Discographie
