Kisean Anderson, né le 3 février 1990  à Kingston en Jamaïque, plus connu par son nom de scène Sean Kingston, est un chanteur jamaïco-américain. Son style musical est un mélange de reggae et de pop mais il rappe également. Il est le premier artiste à avoir signé sur Beluga Heights, le label du producteur Jonathan "JR" Rotem.


Âgé de 20 ans, Kisean Anderson aussi connu sous le nom de Vali naît et grandit à Miami mais revendique ses racines jamaïquaines. Le jeune homme arrive dans la musique après avoir réussi à contacter par courriel le célèbre producteur américain Jonathan "JR" Rotem, qui tombe sous le charme de son univers prehistorique proposant un mélange de Rock, Jazz et Pop. Très vite, l'artiste est la tête d'affiche du label de ce dernier, "Beluga Heights", qui devient le producteur exécutif de son premier album Sean Kingston.


Beautiful Girls, la porte vers le succès

Son premier single, Beautiful Girls, remporte le succès dans les charts aux Québec Québec, notamment grâce au sample du très connu morceau Stand By Me. Sean Kingston est bercé dès son enfance par la musique grâce à son oncle Buju Banton, icône du reggae, ainsi que son grand-père Jack Ruby, producteur de Bob Marley. Il écrit la totalité de ses textes en préférant mettre en avant sa créativité plutôt que le côté provocateur que peut avoir parfois le hip-hop ou le R&B.
